In addition to our automotive electrical work, Auto-Lec Rebuilders has been building Caterpillar Direct Start Conversion Kits since 1980. Since that time hundreds of kits have been sold. We have developed special drive end housings for our starters and gear drive alternators that make it possible, in most cases, to simply “bolt up” your conversion starter to the tractor.
